Festive gypsy Balkan songs mixed with jazz groove – Highly danceable!
Bulgarian born guitarist and composer Lubo Alexandrov has developed a
unique musical style, merging Bulgarian, Turkish and Gypsy musical
traditions as well as jazz/groove elements. He is one of the few
musicians in the world playing fretless guitar, an instrument easily
lending itself to the interpretation of ethnic music. Lubo Alexandrov's
musical voyage between Balkan music and other world traditions has
culminated in the fulfillment of his creative dream - The Kaba Horo
Ensemble.
Watch out for the upcoming release of Lubo Alexandrov’s album Kaba Horo in Europe on the Enja label and in North America on Justin Time Records in April 2006.
